Term 4 Week 6 Notices

Welcome to week 6.

We are heading into the busy time of the year in our classrooms and across the whole school.   The Totara team (Yr 5 & 6) has their camps this week in Taupo.

Back at school, all the Kākano classes will participate in a street racket lesson this week.  Street racket is a new and innovative game using a bat and ball.  It bridges the skills needed for all racket sports in a fun way.

It was great to get back into the pool last week and all the children are making such good progress. It is great that the water is so warm as the children definitely don't get cold while swimming.

We are already halfway through the term and we seem to be reaching higher temperatures. Please can you ensure your child brings a named water bottle so they keep hydrated? Also, please can you remind your child to bring their hat. St Mary’s has the rule - no hat, no play.  So if they do not have a hat, they need to sit in the shade.

Junior Kapa haka

Well done to all our children who participated in the Kahui Ako Ahurei on Friday. Our Junior roopu stole the show and looked awesome in their new outfits.
