Term 3 Week 4 Notices

 Kia ora whānau,

This weekend definitely felt like spring is on its way. A cold start but lovely warm days.

On Friday we had a lovely Mass to celebrate Mary Mackillop's feast day, we then enjoyed fun sports as a junior school and special crafts in the afternoon.

Here are a few photos. Check out the school's Facebook page for more photos. We didn't have time to go to the library as we were so busy all day.

Art Provocations

This week we continue with art provocations in the morning.  The children have been creating some amazing artwork.  Provocations in the morning provide the children opportunities to try a range of different art principles.

We always need boxes, bottle caps, and yoghurt containers.  It is a great way to reuse your recycling so please think of our classroom before filling your recycling bin.

Cross Country this Friday

The children have been training for this event and are looking forward to running our cross-country course this Friday.  We will get started at 11:20.  The children will need their PE gear or a pair of shorts and T-shirt.

We need lots of parents to help with marshaling around the track to make this a great event for our children.  If you can help please either let me know during drop-offs or email me at susieb@stmarysrotorua.school.nz please be at school at 11:10am.

Mini Marathon

Thanks to those of you who are keen to do this. Please remember to return your forms if you haven't done so already. This is optional to take part in.
